Each page in the notebook should have 4 colors use to make the important information stand out (any four; this could include the important part of a question or the key part of an answer; it does not mean full questions or answers randomly underlined). This is to improve memory and information retention.

Class Notes
Page should be set up in Cornell Notes Style
- Notes need to be complete
- Notes need to be color coded (yellow= vocab, blue= examples, green= formulas/important numbers, red= alerts or common mistakes).
- Left hand column should be used to add questions about the notes (There needs to be 3 level 1 questions, from Costa's Levels of Questioning, 2 level 2 questions, and 1 level 3 questions)
- Notes should be finish with a line and a summary below the line (The summary should answer the essential question, level 2 questions, and level 3 question)
"Left Hand" Pages
When specifically assign as a "Left Hand Page" students will be told the topic it should include.
Science 1-pager
These are typically used when a movie is viewed in class without a movie guide.
For 15-30 minute movies:
For 40-60 minute movies:
- Student picks an idea from "Ideas for Left Hand Pages"
- Student completes the artistic representation of the class topic --> must show complete understanding of the topic while maintaining the artistic expression.
- 4 colors must be used on the page (any four)
Science 1-pager
These are typically used when a movie is viewed in class without a movie guide.

- Complete question must be written or attached
- Answer should be in complete sentences (unless otherwise stated by teacher at time of assignment; if student cannot remember, use complete sentences)
- 4 colors should be added to make the important information stand out on the page (any four; this could include the important part of a question or the key part of an answer; it does not mean full questions or answers randomly underlined)
Labs
Labs pages should typically include (it may vary based on teacher directions at the time of the lab):
- Purpose/Objective (typically given with the lab)
- Hypothesis (Student created)
- Procedure (This does not need to be a word for word copy of the given procedure but does need to be descriptive enough that anyone could pick it up and preform the same lab)
- Results (This is normally in the form of a data table but must be labeled with what the table includes as well as each column must include units as well as a label)
- Analysis (This is in the form of a graph with a title and brief description of the results)
- Conclusion (This will either be answering a list of questions provided by the teacher or will be a paragraph detailing what was learned from the lab and what was is still left to be studied based on the results obtained)
Other WOrk
This includes worksheets, movie guides, etc:
